Our Recipients Speak
"Enclosed is a check for $1,500 in payment of the loan that was so
generously extended to me by the Yad Chesed fund. I will always be grateful
for how much trust and consideration were given to me and my children. I am
quite certain that we would have lost our home last winter if this help was
not offered. While it hasn't been easy since, we are stable enough that we
can bump along. Though I ended up on 16 weeks of unemployment benefits last
summer, I finally found a wonderful half-time position ... where I provide
individual therapy to clients of almost any age and from diverse socioeconmic
backgrounds and many different nationalities. It is truly community-based mental
health service, and I am often in the position of being able to support clients
who have very limited financial resources. I am always conscious of the mitzvah
of passing forward the help that my children and I have been given.
After five months of very serious illness, and another three months of recovery,
my daughter ... is healthy and thriving. Her sisters ... are doing well too.
With three healthy children, a job, and a stable home, I could not wish for
anything more. Thank you again for everything, including your faith in me. I
hope to send my own donation to Yad Chesed in gratitude."

"I want to thank you from the bottom of [my] heart for all the help
you [have] given us to pay the pharmacy. You know I pay you back; that
makes me feel like a person. I worked fifteen years two jobs but my health
doesn't give me the energy to work it now. I take care of my husband and
G-d has been very good to my husband over eight years with the new heart,
4 strokes, brain surgery, kidney dialysis and he is doing great walking a
short distance, laughing, smiles because G-d gave him a second chance in
life. Maybe some day G-d will give me a chance to help your fund. That is
what I would like to do."
